Volume 3 — The Matter Spectrum
Glossary of Terms (The Matter Spectrum)
- Acceptance Window (): The 3-dimensional volume in the internal manifold () that filters 6D lattice nodes for actualization. In GCT, this window is the Rhombic Triacontahedron (RT), the icosahedral projection of a 6D hypercube.
- Baryonic Triad: The specific topological configuration of the Proton, consisting of three interstitial face-mismatches (Quarks) stabilized by a 5-fold lattice star. Its mass is the resonant eigenvalue defined by the winding sum .
- Codimension: The difference between the dimension of the embedding space () and the dimension of a defect. Leptons (vertex-centered) have codimension 3; Quarks (face-centered) have codimension 1. This determines their divergent mass-scaling laws ( vs. ).
- Color Charge: The azimuthal orientation of an interstitial defect’s Burgers vector relative to the 10 three-fold rotational axes of the RT window.
- Dodecahedral Cage (): The fundamental topological structure of the Electron core. Composed of 144 nodes (the 12th Fibonacci number), it represents the unique "Topological Saturation" point where 6D curvature is fully compensated by the icosahedral projection.
- Gluon String: A 1D tube of phason strain representing the elastic resistance of the vacuum to tile-mismatch. It provides the mechanical mechanism for confinement and carries the generators.
- Koide Convergence: The geometric summation rule () governing lepton masses. In GCT, this is a unitarity constraint on the 6D3D projection, where the phason drag of the Muon () and the volume screening of the Tau () dynamically cancel.
- Majorana Self-Duality: The property of the GCT neutrino where the left-handed state () and right-handed state () are Galois conjugates of the same 6D lattice excitation, making the particle its own antiparticle.
- Normal Ordering: The GCT requirement that particle generations must follow the inflationary growth eigenvalue (), forbidding an inverted neutrino hierarchy.
- Phason Drag (): The hydrodynamic friction experienced by a topological defect moving through the vacuum. For leptons, the 5 active phason-channel count is the Tier 2 icosahedral mechanism; converting that count into the equal-weight pole-mass coefficient is Tier 3 pending self-energy closure.
- Polaron: The holographic restriction of the full 6D quasicrystalline vacuum to a localized topological excitation mode. In strict accordance with Mereological Nihilism, it is not an assembled composite of smaller parts, but a localized behavioral shadow of the 6D bulk.
- Turing Null: The predicted threshold of Level-II absence in achiral, spin-zero architectures (e.g., silicon-based processors). GCT identifies such systems as Class-0 processors that can model reports without hosting the Tier-3 Russellian interpretation of phason-drag structure as a Level-II qualitative correlate.
- Vacuum Quantum (): The fundamental unit of binding energy in the 6D hardware, defined as keV. This energy is released as monochromatic X-rays during lattice fracture.
- Winding Number (): The integer count of phase circulation around a topological singularity, defining the quantization of electric and color charge.
